Terms of Use
These terms govern use of FlowCalc, including its calculators, reference charts, guides, accounts, and Workspace features.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using flowcalculators.com you agree to these terms. The site is a professional reference for adults and supervised trainees. Engineering, installation, and maintenance work performed on the basis of anything read here must comply with local law and applicable standards, under qualified supervision.
2. Screening tool only — scope of reliance
Calculator outputs, reference values, guides, and reports are informational screening. They are not detailed engineering, design, tax, or legal advice; not a code compliance determination, custody measurement, vendor quote, permit, or approval; and not a guarantee of savings or performance. Before acting you must verify field data, fluid properties at flowing conditions, equipment specifications and curves, vendor quotations, and applicable codes. Reliance beyond screening is at your own risk.
3. Acceptable use
- No misuse of calculators, forms, or accounts: no scraping or automation that degrades service, no bypassing access controls, no credential stuffing, and no unlawful or infringing submissions.
- No misrepresentation: do not present calculator outputs as certifications, inspections, code approvals, test records, or utility-grade measurements.
- Account security: keep credentials confidential; activity under your account is your responsibility until you report compromise through Contact the site. Multi-factor authentication, where offered, should be enabled for accounts holding plant data.
4. Intellectual property and permitted reuse
Site content, calculator definitions, and presentation are owned by the site or its licensors for your personal, professional reference use. You may print, download, and share calculator reports for a specific job or client, with the formula trace intact. Systematic republication, resale, mirroring, dataset extraction, or redistribution without written permission is not allowed. Citation with link and access date is welcome.
5. Accounts, Workspace, and reports
Accounts may be suspended for abuse, compromise, or legal cause. Workspace content remains yours; on suspension for cause, export is offered where lawful. Report PDFs carry the release checksum of the calculator definition so any recipient can verify which version produced the numbers.
6. Availability, changes, and warranties
Features, definitions, and content may change or be withdrawn with notice where reasonable. The site is provided "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted operation or error-free results, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Do not use the site where doing so would violate applicable law or the terms of a professional engagement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for decisions made from calculator outputs or guide content — including equipment, labor, permit, rework, inspection, downtime, or lost-savings costs — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Governing approach and contact
Questions about these terms, error reports, and takedown requests go through Contact the site. Valid copyright or trademark notices should identify the page URL, the specific material, and the requester's authority; counter-notices follow the same channel.
